Jared & Angie Hughes

Jared and Angie Hughes lead The Rock Church, with the help of a bunch of radical Christ-Followers and by God’s amazing grace. The Hughes' lives are a glorious testimony of how Jesus pursues people with purpose. They were on staff at The City Church in Kirkland, Washington from the years 2000 to 2007; from which they were sent by Pastors Wendell and Gini Smith to help a church in Castle Rock, Washington, a town of around 2,000 people. Neither Jared nor Angie had any idea that in just three short years they would be asked to become the new Pastors of this church; a transition which occurred on Mother’s Day of 2010. After assuming the role given to them, they began a radical re-launch of the previous 16-year-old church that sits directly off 1-5’s exit 48. Since this change, The Rock Church has seen some amazing things, such as the church community’s growth from 78 to over 250 people in the last 18 months; a true testimony of God’s amazing grace and real proof that Jesus builds His church. You will hearJared say often "Our responsibility is to make disciples and plant churches. It’s His job to build the church.”

Jared and Angie are high school sweethearts, who will be celebrating their 20th  wedding anniversary on February 1, 2012.
